General Lecture & Class Information

In Person Lectures & Classes

Lectures and classes that take place in person can be booked by contacting me directly for my current contract. Mileage is reimbursed at current IRS reimbursement rate. If your guild is over 150 miles away, a hotel room must be provided. Please contact me directly to discuss travel options for guilds over 200 miles from Bellingham, MA.

During the lectures, one or two quilts are displayed on quilt racks but the bulk of the lecture is in slide show format. I bring my digital slide projector, laptop, and projector screen. If you have a screen for me to plug into, let me know. Please make sure that there is adequate space and power available at the front of the lecture space. I also bring some small kits for sale if allowed. Each lecture is approximately 50 minutes with 10 minutes for questions. A paper handout will be distributed to all members after the lecture.

For classes, please make sure there is adequate power supply for multiple irons in use at once. A maximum of 15 people are allowed in the T-shirt Quilt classes as it is very individual. There is no maximum on the T-shirt Pillow, Memorial Ornaments, or Button Tree classes. The supply list will be distributed well in advance of the class. I will also need space at the front of the classroom to set up my laptop, projector, and screen. I will bring all these with me.

Zoom Lectures & Classes

Lectures and classes that take place over Zoom can be booked by contacting me directly for my current contract. Most guilds use their own Zoom accounts but I can use mine if there is a need. Please make sure that you have a guild member familiar with Zoom to act as moderator and handle any technical issues members may have. If you do not have someone with experience, you will need to hire my moderator at an additional $50 fee.

Zoom lectures are approximately 50 minutes with an additional 10 minutes left for questions.

My Zoom account will be used for Zoom classes. A maximum of 15 people are allowed in the T-Shirt Quilt classes as it is very individual. If the class fills up and additional class dates are required, please let me know and these can be scheduled at a reduced rate. There is no limit on the number of people in the T-Shirt Pillow or Memorial Ornaments class. Please note that the Button Trees Class is offered in person only.

Prior to the class, participants names, email addresses, and cell phone numbers should be shared with me for the purpose of class contact only and technical troubleshooting. This information will be deleted at the end of the class. My cell phone will be shared with class participants.
